An old Chinese proverb says that the best time to plant a tree was 20 years ago and the second best time to plant one is now.
In my opinion, trees are a pretty helpful asset to planet. Aside from giving kids a place to build their forts, providing places for old men to hang their hammocks and offering shade for mother’s garden, trees breathe in what we breathe out. It’s a pretty good relationship, us and trees, because we breathe in what they breathe out too and so this happy cycle continues.
But what would happen if we suddenly stopped breathing oxygen? Aside from dying, the trees on our planet would run out of purpose. It is all tied together you see, intricately designed. The squirrel’s mistake grows into a life-giving asset… and the squirrel doesn’t even know it at the time. And eventually that little forgetful mistake of an acorn decides to sprout and it grows and grows and grows some more.
Then the next generation of squirrels have a new place to raise their babies, boys who once built forts now have a new place to hang their hammocks and we all get to keep breathing.
Don’t discredit yourself on account of your mistakes little squirrels, God is still working all things together for good; acorns included.
