I got home from work at quarter-to-seven this morning. It was a long night at work, but no worries... I got this.
When I woke up, Lindsey was already at work. I proceeded to eat some chocolate donuts and drink my Simply Orange orange juice (with Calcium) straight out of the jug - like a man. If you ever come to visit, beware of the OJ - I'm pretty consistent about drinking it that way.
Now I'd heard from multiple people that once I got married my "drinking out of the jug like a man" antics would have to come to an end. Tomorrow will make 18 months and I'm happy to announce to all of my single friends out there, I'm still drinking OJ out of the jug! But even though my OJ drinking hasn't changed, a lot has.
Two years ago, November 7, 2008 I proposed; I asked Lindsey to marry me and she said yes. It started a whirlwind of wedding planning and in the course of a few short months it was official! Now it's all a part of our history, and a part you can read about here if you don't already know the story.
I didn't have any idea how much one decision would change the trajectory of my life. Over the course of the past 18 months things have drastically changed and here I am... living in a new place, one that I own, working at an awesome job and taking care of the two cutest Beagles in Northwest Arkansas! What in the world happened? :) Somehow life crept up from behind and now here I am, all grown up and living the dream.
Time seems to get that way, sneakier and sneakier the older I get, and I never know what to expect. I haven't quite figured out how to slow things down yet, so I guess for the time being the solution is to keep just on moving forward... and to stop looking back.
